For a license, the Department of Safety and Professional Services in Wisconsin has recently announced the launch of a new online license application system called LicensE. Designed to be intuitive, LicensE will replace paper application forms and renewal tools. The new platform will be live on May 16, 2022, and will include application tips and FAQs. Applicants for a construction permit may use the Construction Superintendent form to apply for a license. They may also use the Concrete Safety Manager form to renew their existing license. Those who hold an electrical contractor license can fill out the Electrical Contractor form to renew their license. Special Electrician applications are accepted even after suspension of the exam. Using this information will allow the state to determine whether the person is qualified to be a Master Electrician.
The New York State Education Department, which issues licenses, has various online services and forms for licensure. The fees are subject to change, but are due at the time of application. Those who apply electronically must pay with a credit card. Others must pay by money order or personal check. In either case, the receipt will be a copy of the cancelled check. Once the application is approved, the applicant must mail the required forms to the New York State Education Department.
